Whenever possible, Appraisal 19 will file two appeal forms; informal and formal. The formal appeal gives us recourse with an independent Appeal Board, should the Assessor not agree with our reduction amount. In most cases, Appraisal 19 will pay for the formal application fee. ($35-$65) The informal application often helps expedite the process.
THE VALUATION REPORT (YOUR EVIDENCE)
This is the key to your tax appeal! Your Certified Valuator will identify, select, and adjust 3-5 of the fairest, most relevant “SOLD” comps in your property’s area. All comps will meet the strict requirements of your county Assessor’s office.
COVER LETTER AND ADDITIONAL EVIDENCE
Included with your Appraisal 19 tax appeal is a cover letter listing the compelling reasons for a lower assessment. We will include your neighborhood’s market trends and if needed, additional evidence like photos, repair estimates, and inspection reports… anything that could possibly bolster your case.
